I was in Portland, ME this weekend and went to the Portland Art Museum, which was pretty neat (small though). Anyway there is a show up now called "American Menagerie" featuring a lot of work by Dahlov Ipcar (well-known children's book artist). There was one artist named Roger Winter whose painting "Snow Moon" I totally fell in love with. I couldn't find an image of it online but here is an example of his work. And if you are interested in children's book stuff definitely check out Ipcar, you will realize that you have seen her work everywhere.
